Pros and cons
Pros
- The core of the app is free: Free plan: likes, matches and chat.
- The audience is defined rather than general: Albanian singles worldwide, Kosovo and Albania.
- Verification runs on a photo and a verification selfie: Photo verification via verification selfie.
- Privacy is written GDPR style and Swiss law applies: GDPR-style privacy policy, Swiss law.
Cons
- Subscriptions auto-renew, and cancelling happens in app store settings where refunds are not given: Auto-renews; cancel in app store settings, no refund.
- Support runs on email and help centre, so a phone call is not part of the offer.
- The audience is narrow: Albanian singles worldwide, Kosovo and Albania, so the pool looks thinner if you sit outside that group.
Who it suits
- Albanian singles in Albania, Kosovo and overseas who prefer a defined community: Albanian singles worldwide, Kosovo and Albania.
- People who want to match and chat for nothing before they spend anything.
- Readers who would rather handle billing in the app store, where cancellation happens in settings: Auto-renews; cancel in app store settings, no refund.
Who should look elsewhere
- Not for anyone who needs free contact: on Senior.dk Dating, Free signup and browsing; contact needs paid VIP.
- Not for people chasing payouts, since on Findom.com verified members cash out tokens.
- Not a stand-in for a plain forum, given Forum use is free of charge.

Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to use dua?+
Likes, matches and chat are free: Free plan: likes, matches and chat. Paid extras sit in Premium options run Premium I 1 month, II 3/6 months, III 12 months, sold as subscriptions that renew. For context, the median monthly price across casual dating sites is €12.27, and the App Store listing shows what each term costs today.
How do I cancel, and will I get a refund?+
Subscriptions auto-renew, and you cancel them in your app store settings: Auto-renews; cancel in app store settings, no refund. Refunds are not given, so it is worth turning off renewal before the next billing date rather than cancelling and then asking for money back. The store settings page is the only route given.
Who is on dua?+
The audience is specific: Albanian singles worldwide, Kosovo and Albania. The pool is listed as 1.1M+ users; 5M+ registrations, and registrations run ahead of current users, so expect fewer active members than the headline figures suggest, particularly outside the countries the audience centres on.
Does dua check that profiles are real?+
Verification runs on a photo and a verification selfie: Photo verification via verification selfie. It checks how a face matches a photo, not whether a person is genuine, so never send money to someone you have not met in person. A verification badge is a signal, not a guarantee.
What are the privacy terms?+
The terms set out GDPR-style privacy policy, Swiss law, and the operator behind the service is dua AG. So the contract sits under Swiss law and the policy is written in a GDPR style. Payment is handled in the app store, which keeps the card details with the store rather than the app.
How do I get help?+
Support runs on email and help centre. There is no phone line listed in those channels, so email or the help centre is the route for anything urgent, including billing questions after a renewal. Profile issues such as a denied verification request also run through the help centre.
Which device do I need?+
The product is app, so your phone is the way in rather than a desktop browser. Its App Store rating is App Store (US) 4.2/5 from 1,174 ratings, so the recent comments there are worth a look before you install. The service has been running since 2019.
