Pros and cons
Pros
- The download is free, with paid VIP tiers and coin packs on top of it
- Photo verification is required of members, which narrows the pool to checked profiles
- Billing names are clear: 1, 3 and 6-month VIP; coin packs alongside coin packs of Coins packs, 40 to 5000 Coins

- Support runs on email and community
Cons
- Fees start at $15.99, above the category median of €14
- Billing terms are Auto-renew; cancel in iTunes settings; no mid-term refund, so cancelling is handled in iTunes settings rather than with the company
- Coin packs of Coins packs, 40 to 5000 Coins sit on top of VIP tiers, so spending continues past the subscription
- Support runs on email and community, with no live chat or phone line listed
Who it suits
- Adults who want a free download with the option to pay for VIP tiers
- Members who prefer required photo verification before they chat
- UK adults looking for a kink, fet and BDSM audience
Who should look elsewhere
- Readers who want a lower starting fee: BDSM-baari lists fees of €0.83 to €2.50
- Readers who want live chat or phone support, since support runs on email and community only
- Anyone who expects a refund part way through a term, because Auto-renew; cancel in iTunes settings; no mid-term refund
Billing and cancelling
Billing runs through iTunes, and the terms are set out plainly: Auto-renew; cancel in iTunes settings; no mid-term refund. The subscription then runs to the end of the period already paid for, so the length you choose is the commitment you carry. Privacy is covered by a published policy, which states no sale of personal data. Cancellation happens in iTunes settings rather than through the company, so the renewal is managed inside your Apple account. For anyone weighing how long to commit, the refund terms are the part to plan around.
What is free and what costs
The download itself is free, with paid tiers layered on top: Free download; paid VIP tiers and coin packs. Subscription options are 1, 3 and 6-month VIP; coin packs. Fees start at $15.99 a month, which sits above the category median of €14. On top of subscriptions, spending runs through a credit system of Coins packs, 40 to 5000 Coins. Readers weighing what is free will find the app free to install, with paid VIP tiers and coins on top of the free part.
The company behind it
The service is run by KINKY DATING APP LTD, registered in the UK and listed in the policy as based in the United Kingdom. It was founded in 2017, so it has been trading for long enough to have an established listing in both app stores. Support is offered on email and community, which covers written email and the in-app community rather than a phone line or live chat. For readers who want a named counterparty on the other side of a billing dispute, the entity name and GB registration are the details that matter.

Frequently asked questions
What does Kinkoo cost a month?+
Fees start at $15.99 a month, which is above the category median of €14. Subscription lengths are offered as 1, 3 and 6-month VIP; coin packs, and the longer terms are usually the cheaper way to pay per month.
Is the app free to use?+
The download is free, so joining and browsing cost nothing. Extra features sit behind paid VIP tiers and coin packs, as Free download; paid VIP tiers and coin packs describes. Spending past the free part is where charges build up.
How do the coin packs work?+
Coins are the in-app credit system and come in Coins packs, 40 to 5000 Coins. They are sold separately from the VIP subscription, so a member on a subscription can still spend on coins. Budget for both if you plan to use paid features regularly.
Can I get a refund if I cancel early?+
The terms state Auto-renew; cancel in iTunes settings; no mid-term refund. A subscription you have already paid for therefore keeps running to the end of its period, so plan around the full term before you sign up for a longer package.
What happens to my data?+
The privacy policy is published and states no sale of personal data. That is a meaningful limit on how your profile information can be traded onward. Read the policy terms for the full detail on what is kept and why.
How do I know profiles are real?+
Photo verification is required of members, so every profile has been checked against a photograph. That is stricter than many casual dating apps, where verification is often optional. It cuts down on throwaway accounts.
How do I get help if something goes wrong?+
Support is offered on email and community, which covers email and the community. There is no phone line or live chat listed, so a billing question will be handled in writing. Keep your receipts and app store order details to hand.
Who runs the service?+
The operator is KINKY DATING APP LTD, registered in the UK. The app has been running since 2017, and it holds an App Store rating of App Store (US) 4.1/5 from 95,907 ratings. A named company and a long trading history both reduce the risk of an anonymous operator.
