Our verdict
Mellian suits adults who want a plain web chat with no per message spending, since Unlimited chats, no credits keeps the single PLN 79 fee from rising. The trade off is scope: roleplay is the only listed capability and email is the single support route.

Using the service
Mellian runs in a browser, and web is the only platform on offer, so there is no app to install before you can chat. The experience centres on roleplay, with premium behind the conversation. Memory across sessions, remembers your history is the part that matters for anyone returning: the companion carries context across sessions and recalls your history, so a conversation can pick up where it stopped rather than starting again. Access is straightforward, but it is a single surface rather than a choice of devices.
What is free and what costs
The subscription is PLN 79, a single monthly fee with no tiers to compare. Unlimited chats, no credits means chats are unlimited and no credits are involved, so a week of long roleplay sessions costs the same as a quiet one, with no top ups to plan around. On the free side, there is a trial period and a free friend plan available by invite code, which is a useful way to stay on the free tier once the trial ends. The appeal for cost conscious readers is the flat fee combined with unlimited use.
The company behind it
The service is operated by Mellian Prosta Spółka Akcyjna, based in Poland, so the contract, the invoice and the PLN 79 charge all sit with a Polish company. No model training; chats erased 3 days after cancel is the strongest point in its favour: chats are not used to train models, and they are erased after cancellation, which is a short window for anyone who wants their history gone. On the other side, email is the only route to help, so billing and account questions are handled in writing rather than in real time chat.
