Pros and cons
Pros
- Free tier with daily free Gems lets you try chat at no cost before paying anything
- Chat with memory and roleplay means the character recalls earlier turns
- Voice, image and video generation all sit in the paid feature set
- No-filter adult chat; CSAM and non-consensual banned keeps the chat unfiltered but bans CSAM and non-consensual content
- Web, iOS and Android covers web, iOS and Android
Cons
- Gems; 100/400/800 per plan, voice msg 1 Gem adds a separate Gems balance on top of the plan, with a voice message costing a Gem
- 18 minimum; no ID check stated sets a minimum age and leaves the gate self declared, so the account can be created on an honour basis
- $14.99 to $33.99 sits well above cheaper rivals such as Dippy AI at $4.99 to $12.99
- Retain as necessary; erasure on request means data is retained as necessary, and erasure only comes on request
Who it suits
- Adults who want roleplay that stays unfiltered and want voice as part of the same service
- Readers who want to test a companion on a free tier with daily Gems before paying
- People who want memory, image and video output under one subscription
Who should look elsewhere
- Readers who want the lowest entry price, since Dippy AI lists $4.99 to $12.99
- Anyone who needs a stricter age gate, because 18 minimum; no ID check stated states no ID check
Memory, voice and media
Chat keeps a memory of the conversation, so a character can hold onto earlier turns rather than starting over each session, and Chat with memory and roleplay pairs that with roleplay. Voice is included, and each voice message draws down the Gems balance. Image generation and video generation both sit in the feature set, which means a single character can move from conversation to pictures and clips without leaving the app.
What is free and what costs
A free tier hands out Gems every day, so Free tier with daily free Gems gives you something to spend before you decide on a plan. Paid plans are sold as Gems rather than as a plain allowance: Gems; 100/400/800 per plan, voice msg 1 Gem sets out the Gems that come with each plan and prices a voice message at one Gem. $14.99 to $33.99 is the monthly range across those plans, which sits above the cheaper end of the market.
Using the service
You start in a chat window and the character holds the thread through Chat with memory and roleplay, so replies build on what came before. Voice is available, and image and video generation extend the same conversation into pictures and clips. Web, iOS and Android means the service runs on the web as well as on iOS and Android, so a session can carry between a desktop browser and a phone.
The company behind it
The service is run by VisionAI Labs Limited, registered in Ireland. Support runs on email, help centre and community, which puts email, a help centre and a community within reach for questions about an account or a Gems balance. On data, Retain as necessary; erasure on request means records are kept as necessary and erased when a request is made, so deletion depends on you asking for it.

Frequently asked questions
What does Promptchan AI cost each month?+
Paid plans are sold as Gems bundles, and Gems; 100/400/800 per plan, voice msg 1 Gem sets out the Gems that come with each plan. A voice message draws down that balance at one Gem, so usage sits on top of the plan price. The monthly range across plans is $14.99 to $33.99.
Can I use Promptchan AI without paying?+
Yes. Free tier with daily free Gems describes a free tier with Gems handed out every day, which is enough to hold a conversation before you commit to a plan. Image and video generation sit in the paid feature set, so media output is where a paid plan matters most.
What is Promptchan AI's stance on adult content?+
The service runs a no-filter adult chat, and No-filter adult chat; CSAM and non-consensual banned draws a firm line at CSAM and non-consensual content, both of which are banned. That combination suits adults who want open-ended chat without a blanket filter over the whole service.
How old must I be to sign up, and is age verified?+
18 minimum; no ID check stated sets a minimum age and states that no ID check applies, so the gate is self declared. That matters before signup, since the terms set the age floor and leave proof of age to the member. Anyone past the age floor can open an account.
Does the character remember me between sessions?+
Yes, Chat with memory and roleplay covers chat with memory as well as roleplay, so a character can build on earlier turns rather than restarting each time. That memory sits inside the same chat as voice, image and video generation.
Which platforms does Promptchan AI run on?+
Web, iOS and Android lists web, iOS and Android, so you can move between a browser and a phone. The same Gems; 100/400/800 per plan, voice msg 1 Gem Gems balance applies wherever you sign in, including on a single voice message.
Who operates Promptchan AI and how do I get help?+
The operator is VisionAI Labs Limited, and support runs on email, help centre and community, covering email, a help centre and a community. Those channels are the route for questions about an account or a Gems balance.
What happens to my chat data?+
Retain as necessary; erasure on request sets out retention as necessary, with erasure handled on request. That means records are kept for as long as the service needs them, and removal is a request you have to make rather than something done by default.
